Kariya helps Blues run win streak to five games

Loui Eriksson had the lone score for the Stars, who have lost back-to-back home contests coming out of the Olympic break. Marty Turco allowed four goals on 11 shots before being pulled in the second period. Kari Lehtonen stopped 14 of the 16 shots he faced the rest of the game.

Kariya scored on a shot from the right circle 9:28 into the contest, but Eriksson tied it from in front at the 15:16 mark.

Goals just 17 seconds apart from Boyes and Kariya pushed the Blues ahead. Boyes scored at 17:28 when his shot from the right circle beat Turco high to the glove side. Kariya then found the net on a blast from the top of the left circle.

Steen scored 1:50 into the second, while Berglund and Oshie had tallies in the third.

Game Notes

Andy McDonald had an assist for St. Louis and has a point in five straight games...Both teams went 0-for-4 on the power play...St. Louis has 23 goals during its current winning streak...The Blues have 69 points, which is tied with Calgary for ninth place in the Western Conference, a point behind Detroit.

The AFC South and the NFC East are the favorite divisions to have the next Super Bowl champ among them in the NFL betting odds.
