Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks signed center Andrew Ebbett on Tuesday. Ebbett played in 33 games for the Phoenix Coyotes last season, recording two goals and three assists. The 28-year-old also tallied 11 goals and 27 assists in 37 games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage last year. The 5-foot-9, 174-pounder has played in 145 career NHL games over the span of four seasons with the Ducks, Blackhawks, Wild and Coyotes, recording 19 goals and 33 assists.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - The NHL is considering a legal move to clear the way for the sale of the Phoenix Coyotes to Chicago businessman Matthew Hulsizer. The league also may have another potential buyer stepping forward in place of Hulsizer as the saga over ownership of the troubled team enters its third year.

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The City of Glendale will still be the home of the Phoenix Coyotes for at least the 2011-12 season. The city's council approved another one-year interim agreement with the National Hockey League to work together on securing ownership to keep the Coyotes in Glendale.
